Desert Ecosystem
Day time temperatures in the desert can exceed 60°C/140°F and then drop to below 0°C/32°F overnight. The humidity is as low as 5%, just 1/10th of what is considered normal. The organisms that survive in these conditions have developed special mechanisms to maintain cell stability and hydration levels which have the same function when used on the skin.
